First trip in US

30th May, Was a good day. bright sunshine . Trip was planned by our guys here. I was outsider till the last minute. Then i was included in as there was sill room for one more person. 

Trip was planned for Russian river with rafting included in the schedule. The trip started @ 8 in the morning. The breakfast was at subway where we packed our lunch also. Drive through Oakland, Napa valley was amazing. Then we reached Russian river and found out that all slots for boating and rafting were booked due to long weekend. We had no choice, then it was just drive drive and drive. went to many locations searching for boating. we did not get any one. so we decided to head to US1 and then to SFO.

We reached Dillon beach and then we  had our lunch with some photos. The trip then headed towards San Francisco. Drive through the US1 reminded me of driving through the Kerala roads. Short and smooth. We stopped at stinson's each for a while and had some more photo session. then we headed towards the Golden gate bridge.  The traffic was long and we had to crawl in SFO downtown the entry to Golden gate bridge was long and to find the parking slot was even more difficult. We found it out and then reached the golden gate bridge. After spending some time there we headed back to home.

First 2 weeks in US..

new country, new location. that's what all for me. it's  been 2 Weeks  since i landed in US of A.  I was not very much eager to come here as there were good projects in offshore. I had been moved out of games testing since last 1.5 yrs. I really hate testing games on mobiles but not on the latest devices. I really love exploring latest devices. Requirements made me to move into different challenging projects.

Time for me was bad, losses in stock markets, losses at personal front etc etc. 2009 was bad, 2010 went even to the lower side. All things started to go down again. No projects at offhsore mandated me to become an idle person. So went into a position where i had to move to a project which i couldn't refuse. Time came and i was told to be at offshore for an year. i was shocked. I was promised a better opportunity, but ,it went other way. i refused it . Then came another opportunity biscuit. this was to put me into trap. I fell for it . Now i was in a project which i don't wanted to be. GAMES testing at HOME. Bloody hell to do this.

I really enjoy working in  offices not at home, it makes me numb and mind stops. But have to cope up for the next 2-3 months cse i dont have a choice :(. I really pity on nmy postion now.

lets divert off from here. US, people call it land of dreams, here ask anyone who have come from foreign countries, they are here to make money $$$$$$$'s. I even ask my colleagues, they say onluy one thing. I want to go to US , whatever might be the job...

Before leaving to US , i thought i could be happy 2-3 weeks since i was aboutto move to  a different project. I would be able to go to office,,see different people. make new friends. Enjoy weekends. All washed out :( , it was like being in jail for the entire day.

At home i am woken up by phone calls , this is really annoying. Sleep is lost. Threatening, not lifting the phone results in harsh words. I now understand the real toughness of this testing. They will plead you to support till alte night and softly say, at our evening please cme back and support. I had so much hopes that i can enjoy my trip here, but all things went in water :(.  Thats what people call " Landing in a soup". weekends support, no holidays, die in home, this i really hate.


Seeing my condition, offshore people laugh, make mockery. That really sucks. Waiting for a better opportunity. Thanks for the communication and www. I can keep in touch with all people whom i know.
I always think there will be a better opportunity one or the other day. Looking for the sunny side. Hopefully in future will have all weekends to enjoy with.

Tomorrow will be playing cricket after a very long time. Looking forward to meet new people. apart from that, looking to go out :) yeppie.

Thats for now, will be back after 2-3 weeks with more stories of US. Hopefully will be bit relaxed and have many friends and have gone to SF downtown.....

Western Ghats Trip Schedule Day 1

Sorry for the late entry.  As i was tied up with some work, couldn't update my trip details here.

Trip was planned  by remil and deepak as they were eager to go somewhere. Since deepak had missed munnar trip he was ready to go, he booke a cheve tavera and told us we are going on Fools day to kodachari. Of course it would be an April fool joke. We took it it in right way and we started on 1April night to Kodachadri.

After our hero, Passi gave a skip in last minute everyone was eager to kick hi left and right. He skipped in last minute as he was the victim in last trip as his blue Chaddie adventures spread across the company. He was afraid that this time also something might happen.

Trip Day 1: April 2nd early morning @ 5 AM we landed on to the foothills of kodachadri. Every one was eager to do trekking, but when the distance was told they hesitated. Also we had to cover lot of distance in 2 days , finally they agreed to go M&M jeep to top and do trekking there. So we hired M&M jeep by giving 900RS and started at 5.45. I was worried that we will miss the sunrise. But during half way our jeep driver stopped at a point where we could get the best possible view. We got some snaps and started to the peak. After seeing the road, our boys got to know how hectic was the ride to top. They had planned to go in tavera till the guest house! Since i had been here earlier, i knew that these guys were planning some big things. i kept quiet without saying anything.

After reaching the guest house on top, we were now set to trek to the top point and see the shankaracharya temple. we started to walk and it took us 40 mins to reach the temple after having some photoshoots. Remil deepak were eager to reach there. Vijay without exposing his fallen hairs was posing like model for photos with his cap on. In all photos , his hair exposure was not done. better he dosent show these photos while he is searching for a girl.

After reaching the temple, we had to climb down rcks to go to the peak point. Vijay was done and he didnt cme. Achinta, me , deepak and remil went to the peak. I was there once again after 5yrs and 8 months. After some photo shoots we decided to move back. This visit to peak was not so much adventurous as it was straight journey. I remembered the last trip where we went into jungle and missed the route and boys were bitten by leeches and finally had to find some waterfalls to get freshen up and had to move back. The time we visited the peak was ultimate as there was not even a single homosapien on the peak. Last time it was a mad rush at the peak. It was the first wever trip where i did not find any person other than our team on the target place. It feels amazing when we have such kind of experience.

After this we came back had breakfast , Pure mineral water was available on TOP and everyone drank it till thier thirst was quenched. We came down and after enquiring the driver for arasinagundi falls, we decided to have bath on the river stream nearby. As usual Remil was best at his adventure .After having a cool cold water bath we were set for kollur.

Reaching kollur ,remil and deepak were eager to gfo to temple. After seeing the rush deepak went back to get his pants as there was restrictions for people to enter into temple. after seeing the temple we were set for lunch. As the next target was murudeshwar, we had planned to have lunch on the way. Vijay was crying as he was feeling hot ( of course our IT people are born with AC's , they can't take temperatures over 30degrees or more, god save them ).

We set to move towards murudeshwar.... story to be continued....

Trip to Western Ghats

Back after visiting western Ghats this weekend. Trip covered Kodachadri, kollur, Malpe,Marwante, Kundapur, Kudremukh, Horanadu, Hanmangundi falls and chikmagalur. Description in the next post.. Bloody busy with one crap project and one IC @ work . Meanwhile enjoy the snaps

Ranji finals 2000-10

Gosh

This was the finals to watch , mumbai winning by 3 runs, of course karnataka deserved the win, but there were no batsmen to score those 6 runs at the end. Surely BCCI decision of holding a match in tier 2 city was worth it.

Me and deepak watched the match on day 3 post lunch session. Some of the action packed stuffs are here.
