I do love listening to music as other people do, I am a music freak and the collection describes it all. It all started in my college days when I some day accidentally heard English music in one of my friends comp ( that time comp was a expensive thing to have). In my house we had a Sony music system. Cassettes were purchased when needed, it was limited to only devotional and some OST of Hindi and kannada cinema.
My first music cassette was of backstreet boys in 1998, which I got it for 100 Rs. This band was a craze at that time. Also some other English music cassettes started to floow. Some through gifts and some prizes also. When comp came to my place I had been supplied the mp3’s by dimps and bhatta.it was when I started listening music seriously in my engineering days that I got addicted to English music. At that time I do listened to only pop music and some limited artists. After my engineering I started to listen more and more, I realized the power of music when I was alone, also in my free time I was doing nothing then I realized how really good the music is, so I started to collect more and more mp3’s now till date I have more than 5K English songs of various artists, not to forget other language songs are also in my collection. I do get the inputs on artists from my friends. Now that I am addicted to music I have my music player “Zune” the 30 GB one, this is my 3rd music gadget, earlier I had a Chinese player and a sandisk sansa player. I do listen to music when I am driving eating working and when in front of comp. I am so addicted to music that I can’t live without it. of course in future some priorities will make me change.
BTW I have been inspired by many artists. Some artists I adore and listen to their collection, in this post I say why I like them and whats so special about them.

BTW I have been inspired by many artists. Some artists I adore and listen to their collection, in this post I say why I like them and whats so special about them.
- "U2": my favorite band and till date I have some 200 songs of them. Gem of a band they always produce really amazing music. The first song I heard of this band was “beautiful day” then I was a fan of this band. Songs like “Sometimes You Can't Make It on Your Own”, “stuck in a moment”, “ground beneath her feet” and many more are always listenable at any moment. If I am feeling down, immediately switch on to their music which will rejuvenate me. Also this band is making lot of work in charity work, which makes them to stand apart. Till date they are my best band and I have no words to explain them.
- “The bee gees”: the Gibb brothers of Australia have always given the world some “real hits” their song staying alive was the first song I listened of this band and then I started to have their songs collection. Their voice lyrics and the amazing talent makes me to adore them.
- “Pink Floyd”: Lyrics says it all, “ coming back to life “ is the song which always inspired me when I started doing work. The band which rolled out their hits in dedication to their drug addicted band member syd baret always inspires me by their lyrics. I do have their collection of pulse concert.
- "Bryan Adams": this rock artists has some amazing love songs to his name, also the song “I finally found someone” is the best song of this arist which I like until date. I always ask myself, why I haven’t found someone special until today. also the songs like “ summer of 69”, “open road”, “here I am “ are always listenable to any times
- “Metallica” : they are the “Metal” gods, I don’t like all their songs of course too much metal I cant tolerate. I saw their S&M concert one day in channel V that was enough for me to listen to their songs. It was an amazing concert and last month I got the video of that. Too good a band, lyrics are also inspiring. Their song “Hero of the day” is my fav. Also I love to listen to S&M concert during long working which always make me fresh and rejuvenate. I have the entire concert audio. Hats of Metallica, u rock.
- “Seal”: when you are down and out listen to his song prayer for the dying and then listen to kiss from a rose, that’s enough for you to realize what this artist is. I really love all his songs lyrics. He is an amazing artist to listen to and get inspired. I am still searching for his song that was a part of “the pursuit of happyness” film.
- “ Oasis” : the English band have a song in the film “ Gal 1” , listen to it you will get to know about them. I wake up to their song every day. The song inspires my day. I have some good songs of them which I live the most. Listen to them occasionally.
- "Ronan Keating": “ the boy zone” boy has some good love songs to his name, too good to listen, some are fast and some slow. , listen to his “when you say nothing at all” and “ loving each day” ,they are amazing. When you remember any one special listen to these songs you will be thrilled.
- "Sting": who will forget his song “Desert rose” , I like this artists for his lyrics and also his voice too good .
- "Poets of the fall": I came to know about this band by Sandeep, some songs are too good. this finish band have some really amazing songs to their name, if you find time do listen to their songs you fell rejuvenated.
- "Moby": how can I forget his music, started listening to his music from the song “ Porcelain” and his song “why does my heart feel so bad” till date is the best song I have ever come across. His music is a soul churner, some of the songs like hotel; natural rules are the best songs to get inspired.
- "A.R Rahman" : The Indian musician who has given long list of hits in Indian film industry is my fav Indian musician . his song “Yeh Jo Des Hai Tera” is really wonderful to listen. His “national Anthem collection “is too good.
There are other artists who I really love to have their music in their ears, of course they stand after the above artists. 20 GB means I do have all songs in DVD’s also I have in my Zune.
I always like to listen to the songs that always make me inspire and rejuvenate. Some of my really best songs I always like to listen are below, but they are not in any order :
